Sbarro Sbetter

"How do you pronounce it?"

..Asked by a fellow blogger on the night of the Sbarro blogger's event last February 8, 2012.  And the answer came lightning-fast... "It doesn't matter how you say it--as long as you eat it" (the host implying that he couldn't care less if people mispronounce the word as long as they liked the scrumptious food).

Scrumptious would be an understatement. In fact after eating the pizza, spaghetti, zitti, and salad that they served, I almost forgot the story shared with us that evening. We were given a short history of how Sbarro reached the Philippines. Now if I remember it correctly, the first store opened in SM North Edsa in 1990 followed by a branch in SM megamall in 1992 and another one in SM City Cebu in 1997. Hmmm... no wonder why more people flock SM malls.  They also opened a branch in Robinson's Ermita that same year and eventually by 2009 there were 25 branches in total!

What makes Sbarro unique from other Italian restaurants? They make their own pizza dough. And one more cool fact is you get to see how they create their pizzas. In addition, they also use the freshest finest ingredients to create every food on their menu. Interesting eh?

For 2012, Sbarro introduces Festa Italiana. For a reasonable price of P779.00 you'll be served with two 10" pizzas, one whole spaghetti,  one whole zitti, one plate of salad, and a 1.5 liter Coca-cola. This is perfect for 4 hungry people who can't wait to get their palate to savor Sbarro's mouth-watering food. Makes my stomach rumble just thinking about it.

Special thanks goes out to Richard Mamuyac!
